I'm Josh Tarlo. I've been roasting, brewing and sourcing on four continents over a dozen countries with tens of thousands of coffees. From winning and roasting for barista championships and brewers cups to running multi-site cafe groups I've been a fan of the world of coffee since the first shot I pulled at an after school job when I was 16. Almost 20 years later and I'm still in love with cafes and obsessed with making a delicious cup.
I started this blog after wanting to pass my knowledge of the industry to folks wanting to learn more or join it. I only have one goal, more and better cafes making more and better coffee. If this helps someone to do that its all been worth it!
